I am relatively new here (as you can see this is my first post) but I have been browsing through this forum for quite some time now trying to get as many answers as possible, and I figured it would be a good time to ask you guy's which portable machine you might suggest.

I have been considering getting into the carpet cleaning business as a side job to earn some extra money.  I've heard great things from Cross-America, and have thought about the Quadra-4 Pack.  However, the price concerns me, $4,250 for that might break the bank (considering I am just starting out).

Now I've also come acrossed, in Kleen Kuip's Supply Mart, the Ninja Warrior 500 PSI.  For $2,000 that doesn't seem too bad for a starting investment.

I'm still unsure wether I will jump into the carpet cleaning business, but before I think about it, I'd like to get some insight from you guys, seeing that you're mostly all professionals and have been doing it for quite some time now.  Any other machines out there beside's the two listed that might be more "superior"?

Thanks for any help provided,
Mark

You would like to have the Quadra-4 Pack , but @ $ 4,250 is too much for you to invest ..........Then you ponder the  Ninja Warrior 500 PSI @ $ 2,000..........but then you decide that you need or want to know if there is a superior machine out there for you..........Yeah I have something for you

So what will differentiate you from the competition?  And trust me, competition can be fierce out there.  "This is just something I do on the weekends" is not exactly a bullet point.

People think they're going to get rich carpet cleaning..........I do only maintenence contracts and throw in the carpet cleaning FREE..........There are tons of letters and estimates hanging around my customers desks, some of thre prices are just insane, either they work for almost nothing or the rates are off the wall.But I have the maintenence contract and even Free is too much. I work hard to keep my customers happy, and at most times money talks..........especially at Christmas.

Howe;

Great to see that you are considering becoming a Professional in our Industry!

However, if I can respectfully correct you in your product & pricing comparison: You were not comparing Apples-to-Apples.

The RECOIL-3 XPS QUADRA-4Pak is night and day different in terms of more hoses, performance, components, etc.....and that is why it is reflected in the cost..........compared to the unit you are comparing it to. (!!!!!!!!)

You see, a much better comparison would be: The RECOIL-3XPS which could be had for apprx. $2699.00 (US) at present. Still has greater performance and capabilites.

Just wanted to clear that up.

Please call me at 734-439-7111 for further information if I can be of help;
Ed Valentine

Thanks, Ed, that is the answer that I was looking for, if anything, I could go out and buy the Recoil-3 XPS and than buy the other items later (that are included in the Quadra-4 Pack) when I start doing more business, and start learning the ropes.

Nope, not me Ed..........I am NO professional..........Just a working class hero who knows how to make money.....just look for a manager of a big company that has dollar signs in his eyes, greed in his heart, and hatred for his job..........There you go another  $10,000 to $ 100,000 monthly contract

Nightrider;

Yes, take those cool looking sunglasses off sometime and look at our machines. I think we should change your name from Nightrider -to- "Hollywood Rider". What do you think? (!!)

We do offer a neat concept of Automatic "Pump-out"  &  Automatic "Water feed" !
