You will want to look under the sink once the autofill stops! Sometimes the water pressure causes leaks in the lower plumbing. It happened to me a few times.

CleanBean,
Im in the same boat as you. I found a mytee m5, with a air hog heater, and the 240 water heater, all for a great price. im going to pick it up.
now that you've used your m5 a few times, what do you think? good machine? have you gotten a water heater or vac booster yet?
also, being a newbie, what have you done to grow your business? what kind of marketing have you implemented?
i appreciate all responses (espcially to the marketing). i can tell you what i plan on doing here in the next few weeks...

The M5 is a GREAT machine and a work horse! I got a Mytee Hot 200-120 in the deal too. It's a great heater and it keeps up with me. No vac booster needed yet. with my M5 i can run up too 100' and still have good performance. Once I ran 150' and I had to do more dry stroking but I clean at 200 psi most of the time so drying time was about 6 hours.
My business is kinda stiffled because I'm working with my M5 more for my boss than for myself, he runs two TMs. I'm about to change that and focus on my business especially since spring is coming! He'll have to sub contract me work because I gotta get out on my own. The jobs I've done with under my business my custy's were REALLY pleased! Stick with it EGEE...that M5 is a monster...one of the best out there. |

I have a few associates that send me to jobs and they let me keep
all of the money! Hard to believe but its true..!
Why is the M5 so heavy? Any of you owners know?

I do regular employee pay John...by my choice. My boss took me on when I really screwed my self in a prior profession. He taught and introduced me to the carpet cleaning industry. That helped me stay on my feet so in working for him now with my machine is my appreciation to him. Soon I'll be subcontracting under him with my business and then things will be different. We're in the early stages of that. From what I can tell looking at my M5, the thing is so heavy because has auto pump out which adds another to the pump weight and more plumbing, and I think it has Mytee's largest vac motors. I hauled it up a flight of stairs to a 2 floor apt last Sat by myself. At 55 that was a HAUL! |
