Jack: Those things are considered necessities of life by the people that use them.......Carpet cleaning is looked on as a luxury by many, especially during severe economic downturns. We have not had many of those the last 30 years or so, but I remember what happened in 73/74 which was the worst downturn since the 1930's. Carpet cleaning got cut back in a big way. Most cleaners will have to cut back on their cleaning rates. Guys like Mr Steamer will probably need to reduce their cleaning charge to $1/rm from $2/rm to remain competitive in the GTA. I will probably have to go back to .30/sq from .50/sq to remain busy here. Things are about to get tight all over. Edited by Superglide Ken - 20/August/2007 at 5:47pm |

That is right . That Greater Depression I have been saying is coming is getting closer and closer. We will be in it by next year at the latest. It will be around till 2020. It is the reason I expect to sell alot of Titans and Titan upgrade kits over the next dozen years. If people in this industry can not afford to run their TMs because of per sq ft charges going down(they will)and the cost of gas going up(it will), then they are going to need a powerful portable to operate with instead, or at least a low priced kit to upgrade what they have now. I intend to be that vender that sells it to them.
