Last night I used Red 1 and added Power Gel on red stains without rinsing. Is that safe for the carpet? Should I go back and tell the customer I need to rinse?

Stain Zone or just plain old peroxide. Who cares if it's  cut and paste. Great post.

Ok I have a tough one. A customer call me and said he has been using stanley steamers for a number of years and they are not able to help him, so he called me to see if I could do any better than they did.

His problem is with old pet stains on white carpet. They look clean for about four days and then they magically reappear as yellow and brown. Its not brown out stanley already ruled that out and its not wicking.

I pre treated with prochem citrus pro and then cleaned the carpets. They turned out beautiful. Afterward I treated with prochems urine rescue. I called him two days later and he said they were still not visible. He called me four days out and said that they had reappeared but were grey this time and still looked better than what SS did. I went back and treated with chemspecs stain magic and covered with plastic for a few hours. I haven't heard anything yet.

If this doesn't take care of his problem what else can I try?

Are you using an emulsifier in your rinse and then misting on a spray of acid rinse to the affected area?, if so try a box cutter ( in OZ we call 'em Stanley knives )

Am I right in saying " A stain is a stain and will not come out, other wise it would be a mark, which will come out, unless its a stain"

Yes, by definition a stain is permanent. It's one of those words that's misused so much that it's hardly worth the trouble of using it properly.

The very fabric of the universe.

Are you in a high paying business or are you just a self employed low paid grunt who thinks this business provides dignity?

For reappearing stains, use OP or bonnet to clean the carpet.  Yes the stain is wicking back.  Stanley is not an authority on anything short of a successful business model with effective marketing strategies.
