I guess this is a bump (and my first post) but I use the HOST method.  someone here said that it works well on residential more then commercial especially in high-end homes where carpets are less likely to be trashed.  I'll agree to that.  I find it really easy to use.  Though I am thinking of picking up a few other machines for other options. HWE etc. etc.

The Host system is a fair one but I actually found it disappointing on commercial cleaning. I felt it did better in residential homes for maintenance cleaning. It was not a great cleaning method for trashed carpets but you usually use it on higher end homes that do not get as trashed. Look at other presprays with the Host method besides their Prep. Formula "O" comes to mind.

It does about 3000 ft per hour so it does not take long.Works by agitating rotary brushs.

To your first question: yes they work well and are the most profitable way to clean commercial carpet.

To this question: Who is Padman?

I think he is a guy that wears Depends cause he sprung a leak, eh?

j/k

I used it once last winter when it was cold enough that I didn't want to mess with taking my truckmount out. I was not pleased with the results. Went back later and fixed it with HWE. If you are looking for a low moisture process, I'd suggest either talking to Ted about the Cimex or getting in touch with Padman.

You need a "dry" sense of humour to answer that question.
