I am getting into sales for Merlin's Industrial Machining.  I used to do cold calling for my brother ,years ago, who used to own Advanced Cleaning Technologies (now he works for Zero Rez).  I used to get him A LOT of jobs for air duct cleaning.  Now I'm actually selling duct cleaning machines (The Duct Wizard) and wanted to see how many of y'all use air duct cleaning in your business if so what machine.  What do y'all feel the pros and cons are of adding Duct cleaning to your business are?  Would you rather buy direct from the manufacturer or go through a a supplier like Bridgepoint.  Any info or comments would be helpful.

I hope you are succesful with your venture, from a guy thats been in the cc biz for over 20 years, I can tell you, I have tried duct cleaning , in fact I was one of the first to create robotics for cleaning, it was a great business 10-15 years ago, but now...not so much. competition has diminished profit margins and cheapened the market place. I know, some will say they can do a wonderful job in a limited amount of time, and make big $$, I hope they do..I tried many many systems over the years from rotobrush to tm with robotics (camera with air lance with brushes), there is not a system that I have seen that is 100% effective. As for dealing with suppliers or manufacturers, I would rather deal with a supplier, they see most of the new products immerging, so they can sift through the crap, instead of wasting our time.
It`s worth the mark up..
IMO..
