Guys,
I was wondering, are the streaks left behind not being groomed? I ususally use a carpet rake and groom each room after I clean it. Could this solve the problem? I want to use my portable more than using my buffer and bonnet pads but down here in Florida on the beach You need fast dry times to land accounts. I do have a downdraft fan that works great but that's alot to carry up into a condo: Sprayer- Portable- spotters, hose, rake- fan. I like to be able to make one trip up and one trip down. Elevators are slow and add time to your day extra trips up and down.

Laserman;
I know of a Gentleman who has been using the drimaster with our RECOIL-3HP System and just loves it. Take carpetologists' advice/opinion here. He's right on. The very best; Ed Valentine www.cross-american.com |

WOW,
I'm a bit surprised to learn that this is not as great a tool as I thought. I know of two cleaners here that use it but do Not Market the Quick Drying Aspect of this tool. Could it be they are also having problems using this tool and the drimaster is gathering dust the the corner of their vans or office? Perhaps the RX- 20 for portables or rotovac are better tools? I tried a Powerflite Brush assisted wand, what a waste of Money that was. Wish I had that $600 back.

you do have to becareful of any rotory machine as you may run into things if you dont take care. You would be much better off working the machine in smaller circular patterns than large back and forth ones. also you should really groom after every cleaning anyway.

I am using a TM. But RDM is fine for portables you dont need much pressure, the RDM even limits water with an orifice. I noticed three problems with the RDM. The one people would complain about is the dark streaks in the carpet, due to the back and forth motion (the direction of the carpet). This was caused by the base being so flat laid the carpet down. I was at the point where I was using a pet brush after each room raking both ways to try to remove the pattern, and still you could see the direction marks. I would tell customers to look at the dark streaks from a different angle and they would be now lighter, but still they wanted it fixed. I tested it on my house doing the same thing took 2 months to remove the streaks with vacuuming. So gave up on the tool wan't worth the call backs. People also said it wasn't as clean as before (was using the RX-20). The third problem I was having with it was the body of the RDM would pick up some of the paint off the baseboards (like if you look at you solution hoses) and when you would run the tool up against furniture would leave white paint marks. I would then have to go after the job with solvent to remove the paint off the wood furniture was a pain. Tool did what it said was dry in about a half hour or less. Now I just ask them if they want a deep clean that takes longer to try or a surface clean that will dry fast. Most will wait out the drying time for better clean.

Just curious what the call backs were for...not clean enough? Are you using a RX 20 with a portable or a TM...I thought you needed a TM for the rx-20? |

You can use it with a protable, and it does a better job then a wand. I however stopped using it, was getting to many complaints, and have gone back the the rx-20. I still use it on area rugs works great, but wish I wouldn't have invested in this tool. Would try it out for you self before you buy one. Thats not a bad price for a used one think I pick mine up for around $1800.

The Drimaster is a great tool and very easy to use. Saves your back from wand fatigue. As it says it's unique method of putting down and picking up water is very efficient. Carpets dry much quicker than other methods allowing you to offer a quicker drying service. Many consumers are willing to pay more for faster drying service.
Chemdry have proven that over and over many times at higher rates than many steam cleaners.
$2,300 Canadian
This is approx. $1,950 U.S. Dollars
It can be used with a portable or truckmount.
