  i have a small business with a few portys (2 mytees w/ dual 2 stage vacs and 2 kleenrites w/ 2 dual stage vacs. the pumps are assorted either 100 psi or 0-200 psi adjustables.  I dont clean with high pressure because we let the chemicals and rotovacs do the work and have plent of customers that are more impressed with it then other guys with TM's(guess they ue TMs but either bad chemicals or lack of skill or a combo of both)

 they came with 25 ft of hose each.  2 questions 1 could i go an extra 10-15-25 feet.  if so how muh difference would i notice. vac wise and solution wise too.  also i am not lookin to leave the machine upstairs ando basement or anything.  looking jut to do this either on the same floor or being upstairs with the machin down.  thanks in advance

Hi Mike,
Hey which Rotovac are you using?  I too am looking at the Rotovac as I begin to build my carpet cleaning business.  I am looking at the Rotovac 360 and the Mytee 1003HV.

Anyway, based on the Mytee you have it may work with another 25' of hose.  I think this may be the llimit however.  The Mytee 1003hv has dual 3 stage vacs, and I wouldn't go with more than 50' feet of hose.

How do you like the Rotovac and porty combo?  If you had to do it again what would you change if anything?

How many times are you dumping, and filling water per standard 3 room appointment?

50' and your lift does not change. not sure about CFM but I know the lift does not change when you go from 25' to 50'

My Friend , all you have to do is change one of  the vac's to a 3stage and you can easily run 100 ft with a slight drop in vac. a 100 psi pump will still run a 100 ft as well,,,,how do i know well I've got a simple portable made by EDIC change a vac afew years ago. Yesterday ran outside a Apt complex up a flight and 40 ft across5 days ago the lady gave me  2 referrerals  because she was that impress with the equipment,,,,hope this helps

i thought both motors should be the same      would this require an extra plug 15-20 amp?

EmpireMike;

You may want to consider a POWER BOOSTER System that would allow you running more hose lengths from your Portys. Also will help clean and dry those dirty carpets to.

Good Fortune;

Thanks Mike,
In your experience how does the original rotovac compare to the new rotovac?  With regard to dry times, water usage, and ease of use?
