I am in the process of expanding my company.
My brother has had a small 2 vac machine made by shamrock janitorial supplies in Albuquerque, NM. He runs that machine in santa fe, i want to buy a porty and move to Albuquerque to expand.
We cant afford a TM yet, and i've been researching porty's. I liked the Eclipse because of 249 inch of waterlift, however, i've heard bad things about the machine like it doesnt really have that much power, and that other people have had other negatives about it.
Then i looked at the Solus which is rated gold by CRI, but it doesnt fit easy in a truck bed. Also i like the M5 but it weighs too much.
PLEASE, WHAT IS THE BEST PER DOLLAR PER POUND PORTY OUT THERE??!!
i dont want to blow breakers, but i want hot water, and extremely powerful suction. Comments on all machines listed is appreciated!

Any porty can pop breakers. The solution is to know before hand where you can and cant plug them in or have a porty that informs you that you have sufficient power to run it. I have a Mytee M-5 and it has an indicator on the control panel that lights orange when you have sufficient power to run it. It requires 2 - 20amp circuits for its 2 cords. But I must say that even when it indicated that I had sufficient power there have been time when a breaker popped so sometimes a fuse or breaker panel may indicate 20 amps when for some reason it blows or pops. You should look at the breaker panel and try to get on 20-30 amp circuits to be safe
Normally I will plug in at places where I know the circuit can handle it like the kitchen or laundry room. Also some heater compartments will have an outlet too. Another solution is to plug in at the dryer 230 volt 3 or 4 prong plug with a converter that make it 2 -20 amp circuits. Edited by CleanBean - 09/February/2010 at 11:01pm |

You can have--extreme--performance without blowing circuits.
Blowing circuits is unacceptable, period.

Find one that uses two 15 amp circuits not two 20 amp circuits. I believe that Extractor is the RECOIL XPS3.

answer to your question, yes. give Ed Valentine at Cross American a call, Recoil Series Machines operate at around 13 amps per cord. (you need to operate machine on two different circuits)
I have 2 Recoil machines and have been using them for years |

I had one that ran on cord 1 - 11amp cord 2 - 12amp
so yes there are machines that don't trip fuses.
