I charge for the complete square feet of the rooms to be cleaned, any furniture that can't be moved is treated as an obstacle to the smooth work flow causing me to work around it sometimes in tight spaces and that slows me down. After all, time is money.
NO to electronics, NO to heavy furniture, NO to furniture with anything on or in it including china cabinets. Most customers appreciate where you are coming from when you say NO. What's to not understand? The N or the O? |

Don't you hate it when you quote traffic lane only cleaning and when you get there all the furntiture is moved all over to the centre of the room. They think that because it is moved into the centre of the room you will clean where the furniture was and then have to move it back to clean the traffic lanes.
I have had this happen several times so now when I see it I say "I see you changed your mind and want all the furniture moved for a full cleaning. No problem that will only be another 10 cents a square foot. Customers like that figure they have outsmarted you our they can get something for nothing. Now I don't put up with it. If they get upset - to bad because I don't want them as customers anyway if they object to the up charge. |
