I would agree w/ Ken, 200psi will do wonders if you have good agitation. The Rotovac 360 makes cleaning much easier, more effective, more efficient and less painful on the back! I saw more efficient because you had stated you do only large areas. This is an important factor when looking at new equipment. How quickly can I complete the job? How effective is the cleaning process? How do I feel after cleaning a big job?

Thanks for the answers guys!
The problem with super powerfull portables is electrical. We do have 110 mostly in Brazil. I have a powrflite 1085 with 2 motors (3 stages) 500 psi with heater and we always have electrical problems when keeping all pumps heather and motors on. Because of that I'm no so sure about more powerfull equipment.... After reading all posts on rotovac I'm still very confused, actually more confused!I saw some gliders and very good comments on them... I have a 500 PSI wonder wand from Powrflite, any gliders for that? Again thank you for all your help, the forum is a great source of info! |

Have you considered investing in a generator so you do not blow circuits? Your fuel costs must be good down there.
350 PSI minimum for a portable. 200 PSI is too much work altough it is good for furniture cleaning. I have the Rotovac powerwand. It really saves your back if the powerwand is properly maintained. |

Thanks for the info Journeyman!
Down here most of my jobs are corporate offices and Hotels all in tall building (sometimes 18 floor and up). There is no way I can take a fuel generator to the job, that is also the reason why I don't invest in a truck mount. Normally I work with only one pump on and switch the heater on and off to save amperage, also I have a powered brush from powrflite that drains even more amperage but works really good. Chemicals here are horrible, I spend and arm and a leg on imported ecolab perfusion products. Can the rotovac work with 500 PSI? Again thanks for the info! |

500 will work fine. 200 will also do a good job, because of the amount of agitation it brings to the party. However I do not care for it the RV360 on commercial glue down carpet. If the carpets are in decent shape. I would looking into investing in an OP system, it will amaze you how good the carpet will come out will little effort and only one cord. Chems are usually pretty expensive though.

Are there any advantages in moving from a 1-1/2" hose to 2" for a portable? |
