Checkmate... The guys at hydamaster say the 3.2 will blow away any porty..

You also didn't specify what kind of porty... The 3.2 will out do them all...(that's what they say)...Porty's vary....

But i also heard through the grapevine that the Recoil porty with booster will equal the 3.2 in performance.... Now, mind you... This is what i have read on bb's... so take it with a grain of salt or ask more questions....

I have a 500 psi ninja that I use for small jobs.

 I agree with nightrider it does not mater the size of the tm

nobody unless on vacation wants you draging a monster

portable in their house, and disrupting there lives one of the most common quistions I am asked by older people is when are you leaving.

with my portable I try to just stick with offices when I do get a tm then I will aim for more houses. One thing for sure is if you have only one TM then a good portable can come in handy if your TM Breaks down in the middle of a job. I would say me and my ninja have a love hate relationship. As far as The guys at hydromaster, I dont Know, But I would love to speak to someone who has a spitfire because I am thinking of buying one.

TM is easy of life.........

no water to fill and dump every two seconds....

if your doing a big house(4000 sq ft) 10 to 12 rooms or so... you can finish in 2 or so hours...

a porty you'll be there all damn day...5 hours at least... so you save on gas.... how much though..

That type of house will only cost me maybe 5 bucks to clean....

for the easy I'd spent 20 bucks in my TM... and have 3 extra hours to drink some beer or do another job...

nightrider I thought you where smarter than that...

porty's are good for apts... and places you can't get to with a truck and thats it..

as long as my hose reaches I'm using TM!

I guess I'm not that smart Steamer, or is it that you are being fooled by your own deception

When I had the golf course to do I had 4 (12 gallon portables) clean an area of 15,000 sq. feet overnight in 5 hours. 2 of the machines had 20" scrub brushes.

Total cost for me was 13.15 /hour x 4 for a 7 hour shift in which they had 1/2 hours paid lunch 2 breaks 15 min /each 1 hour downtime.

Contract Cleaning $ 1,800.00

Labour cost       -  $    370.00

Products        &nbs p;  -  $     60.00

Pizza & Beer     -  $    110.00

Inncentive Bonus  $    200.00 ( $50.00 cash each )

Profit                   $ 1,060.00 for 1 nights work

You're right Steamer I must be stupid, I think I'll stay that way.

Doug;

Respectfully speaking, I guess I can conclude by your very remarks toward myself, that they may be in less than a respectful light. For what reason, I guess that will never be known.

However, just  the very nature of your comments (and jab) in referring to a so called "sales pitch" from myself (in defense of our equipment) would give very little creditability to your own position.

It is too bad that you dod not think too highly of my comments on this board; however, I think it may be high time you just may want to look at yourself in the mirror my friend. This could be the best move you will ever make.

The very best to you and your success;

Good Fortune to;

Ed Valentine

Ed:  A portable is just that a portable.  some may be as powerful as a tm and with the right operator get even better results than a tm.  I simply do not believe having a generator + vac booster + Portable = tm? In a comparison your equipment may be better than a tm.  But it is still a portable.  Ed I am not in the business of selling equipment manufacturing equipment or sales .  If a comment regarding your people who sell tm as portables  or portables a tms offends you.  Well don't take it so seriously. and you have a good day.

BULL ...unless they where walk behinds... not even with four portables could you do that in five hours...it must have been clean and you must have been running at 100 psi, doing only traffic areas...

these numbers are bogus... first you said it took you 5 hours then you said 7 hours...

I can't do 15,000 sq ft in 5 hours with 4 trucks...lol  it would be close

DLD said it  to full of sh*t to quit

Noi offense Steamer, but if you're doing your cleaning at that speed, you can't be doing a very good job. And I've operated TM's and portys.

Certified to be certifiable.

Wake up porty people ..... it takes longer... it's not as powerful....it's better to use a truck if you can....

25' ft of hose wouldn't get you out of the masterbedroom...50' wouldn't get you down the stairs... you have to lug that sh*t up stairs even with a vac booster...

ok get 2 vac boosters... just more crap to carry in...lol

if I'm going to go through all that trouble...i'd get a truck mount

Steamer, the shift is 7 hours/night/7 days/week general maintenance contract, if they work 2 hours they get paid for 7. The carpet cleaning was an add on 4 times /year.

Portables were old 12 gallon junk machines, I only buy old crap and leave it at the customers.2 were 100 psi, 2 were 200 psi/scrub brush.

Carpet was not really dirty, few soft drink stains & coffee. This was the dining & breakfast areas.

YES it was done in 5 hours/ 4 portables

If you can't clean 15,000 sq. ft in 5 hours with 4 truckmounts is because of the downtime to set up, then you're too tired to start work, then you have to prespray, then you have to pick up the wand, then pick your nose a little, take the last puff of your cigarette, then maybe start working.

I was running a business, not a playground, my cleaners came to work, and work they did. I treated them good, in return it was no nonsence labour. Other days when it was slow, we goofed off.

ALL MY NUMBERS ARE REAL, AND TRUE, OTHERWISE I WOULD NOT HAVE POSTED IT.
