I bought a used mytee 1003 hv carpet extractor. I keep reading reviews about it. Anyways the review says is can go to 500 psi. Right now it is at 200 psi. Having trouble figuring out how to change psi.I bought a used mytee 1003 hv carpet extractor. I keep reading reviews about it. Anyways the review says is can go to 500 psi. If it's the model I'm thinking of, when you're facing the machine, on the lower right-side, you should have a black knob. That's your psi knob. You can lower your psi for upholstery, or bring it up to 450 for wand cleaning. I'm afraid you won't get it passed 450psi though. Mytee puts a regulator on their porty's to extend the pump life.
Hope this helps. Edited by coleECS - 06/May/2010 at 10:26am |

So do they make a model without out the dial? It doesn't have one on the front.
The model does say 1003 hv speedster. |

The only model that have one is the 1000HV speedster.
If you have the 1003HV, you should have 4 switches on the front, 2 vacuum switches, a pump switch and a heater switch. Is that what you're seeing? If that is what you see on yours? If so, then you should have that psi handle towards the bottom of your machine. Let me know though what you have |

Try this:
Pick up the phone and call 858.679.1191 That is Mytee, they built the unit, they can tell you how it works Go right to the horse's mouth The dial is definitely on the 1003DX, the 1003HV is its predecessor Feel free to ask Mytee Let us know what you learn from Mytee Edited by duckcountry - 06/May/2010 at 1:13pm |

I have the 1003hv and it definitly has the psi adjust at the bottom right hand corner on the front of the machine(black knob) If its not there than its not the 1003 hv. The speedster models with a set psi don't have the knob.

Weird... Yeah I'll have to call. It does have two vac buttons on the top and the bottom has heater and pump. It has the psi gauge with the circuit indicater light. No knob on it. On the front it has a 1003 picture. On the back by the model it say 1003 hv. There is no black nob or any proof that there was one on it. I'll call em later tonight. Thank you

Alright she called me back saying I have an older modell which was made in 2000. It's an older pump set at 200 psi. She said u can increase it but there really not a way other getting into everything. It's a pump there no longer using. It's odd that it's a 1003hv... Works great tho. Thank you all for the help. A little bum I don't have the knob for differnt psi but 200 psi works.

When it's time for a new pump, upgrade.
